We host a variety of events throughout the year from autism-friendly activities to training and education events. 

Golf Scramble and Bean Bag Tournament

You are invited to participate in our 5th Annual Golf and Bean Bag Tournament! Over the last 5 years we have raised thousands of dollars which have made a tremendous impact on children and families navigating the world differently with their autism and/or ADHD. This year’s early evening event will take place on Friday, June 23rd at Perham Lakeside Golf Club, and will include a 9-hole golf scramble, bean bag tournament, and dinner.

All money raised will go towards building our playground. Right now, our green space is a blank canvas with an opportunity to install a playground in a series of phases. Our current focus is on required fall protection surfacing, a shade structure and a playground structure.

As an agency focusing on supporting development through positive and shared experiences in play, having a safe outdoor space is essential to our mission and vision. With the support of grants and your help, we can continue to create a one of a kind space designed for the neurodivergent population we serve.

Parent- Led Support Group 

Tuesday, March 21, 2023 | 6pm at Empowering Kids

Meet people with similar experiences, grow connections, share ideas, seek support. For parents/caregivers of children who have ASD, ADHD, PTSD, or behavioral challenges. Adult-only event. No childcare will be provided. Contact Megan Graten with questions – (701) 520-2327. 

3rd Annual Puzzlepalooza

Join us for the ultimate puzzle competition! Teams of fierce puzzle competitors will race against the clock to see who can complete a puzzle the fastest. Proceeds from this FUNdraiser benefit Empowering Kids.

On February 9th, the Boys & Girls Club of the Perham Area and Empowering Kids Perham are teaming up to raise programming funds and increase awareness through the annual Giving Hearts Day fundraiser. We have just 24 hours to reach our goal!
