We are searching for an individual who loves children, is passionate about individuals with autism and social challenges, and is dedicated to supporting the mission of Empowering Kids!
Empowering Kids has an opportunity for a full-time Mental Health Professional. This position will provide direct EIDBI services (Early Intensive Developmental and Behavioral Intervention) and outpatient mental health services to children and adults with autism or other related conditions, and their families.
The duties may include but are not limited to:
- Complete strength-based and person-centered diagnostic assessments and treatment plans
- Provide supervision to other mental health providers as needed
- Consistently demonstrate clinical competence and professionalism by effectively providing mental health therapy and diagnostic services to children and their families.
- Consistently demonstrate professional behaviors that reflect respect for clients and their families, co-workers, the schools, and the organization.
- Provide services in appropriate settings including the family when possible.
- Develop and maintain therapeutic rapport with parents and care providers to allow for improved client functioning.
- Collaborate with care providers, social workers, outside agencies, and school staff.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy;
- Licensed Mental Health Professional as defined in 9505.0371 Minnesota Rule, Subp 5A
- Experience working with individuals with autism or a related condition.
- Experience and training in developmental based techniques for supporting individuals with autism and related conditions preferred
- Clear DHS background study and sexual exploitations screening
- Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
- Requires use of personal vehicle with current vehicle insurance.
