What is OT?
Occupational therapy (OT) helps children develop the skills they need to participate in everyday activities, such as playing, learning, eating, and socializing. It focuses on supporting children in building their independence, self-confidence, and ability to engage in activities that are meaningful to them.
At Empowering Kids, our Occupational Therapist recognizes that each child’s brain and way of experiencing the world is unique. OT aims to support children by respecting their individual strengths and challenges, providing strategies, tools, and modifications that empower them to thrive in their own way. It works collaboratively with families to create a personalized approach that honors the child’s preferences and needs, fostering inclusion and promoting well-being.

**Please Note:
Our early intervention services are available to all children with developmental challenges through the age of six at which point children are required to have a primary diagnosis of autism or ADHD to continue receiving services at Empowering Kids.
